Startup Insiders session #9 on July 20 in Karachi
July 2, 2008
All those who have been writing to find out about the next SI session, here is some good news. After a bit of a break we are back on track. SI#9 will be held in Karachi on July 20 at the Marriott Hotel in Ambassador 1 from 4 pm to 6 pm.
This will be held alongside the P@SHA Career Expo which will be held in the Crystal Ballroom. We have some ideas about what the theme of this session should be but we would love to open it up for suggestions. If you feel strongly about the topic you would like covered in SI#9, make your suggestions in the next few days before we finalize the panel and the theme.

I’d suggest a session on ‘marketing your product’. like I’ve a product, now here’rea couple of questions to be answered.
1. how would others know abt it?
2. do social contacts matter?
3. how can i attract masses to come to me for solution?
4. how to have ppl trust me when i dont really have a brick n mortar existence in market(this one keeping online business in mind)?
n yes its wonderful to see SI continuing its sessions.

If this one needs to be linked with what got discussed in the previous SI sessions (topics from how to successfully pitch your idea to getting your first customer) then this time we can discuss how to retain your customers, dealing with angry clients and all what’s needed to get customer loyalty OR we may have a session on something like “Common Mistakes that kill start ups”

It would be really great if we could have a workshop on writing a business plan. Many of us do have rough thoughts of some product in our mind but its not easy to create a business plan out of these thoughts especially when u don’t even know wat a business plan is
