The faces of the IT industry – 1
July 2, 2008
I thought it might be nice to bring to you over a period of time the faces of the local IT industry – a few at a time. Those of you who know these people may add your views about them if you so wish. I will only do a one-liner that, in my opinion, describes them to the tee.
Ashraf Kapadia, Managing Director, Systems Ltd
The Voice of Reason
Mohammad Sohail, CEO, TPS Private Ltd
The most well-dressed CEO in IT
Abbas Khan, Director, Abacus Consulting
An air of sophistication bundled with classic movie star looks
Zafar Khan, CEO, Sofizar
Resident Money Spinner who gives new meaning to the term “make money while you sleep”

@Jehan: “a one-liner that, in my opinion, describes them to the tee.”
Curiously, only one of the First Four (well, actually, we know so many others from the pictures you have posted in the past) is wearing a tee in fact. What does that indicate about the mindset of the industry?

Vic, I guess working with clients in the banking and financial sector has forced many of the CEOs to dress in garb that is not natural for them. Most of them are most comfortable in jeans/bermudas and t-shirts but one has to make a living.
