ISI next?

Yesterday I received an email from the Ministry of External Affairs, India inviting me to speak at a SAARC Conference in Delhi. Great opportunity and I am thrilled to be asked but I wonder – will my contact with MEA result in a courtesy call from ISI? Food for thought.

Is this really the message they should be sending? If you have to see a doctor …

You’d probably get quizzed about it – but no bigy! Best to have the lawyer’s number handy!

you should be glad that getting the visa should not be a problem and you will probably be exempt from police reporting — when you go to the embassy to get your visa (if you have to do that in person), the agencies people outside will interview you briefly — that’s their job

Well, thankfully I didn’t have to go in person and yes I have a multiple entry, non-police reporting visa which makes it much easier. Wish both countries would move forward on the visa front.
