And now for the third & final episode

So here we are with the final episode of the ITLW interview with Dr. Irfan Ahmed of Yahoo! (no this is not the last episode of ITLW – you guys should be so lucky) Here Irfan talks about Online Advertising, why it has been slow to catch on, why he feels it will increase and what the trends are.

Coincidentally, in his talk last night Mr. Carlos Cashman – Zafar Khan’s new partner at Sofizar – also told the dinner audience in Lahore that although people had pulled back on advertising budgets from traditional media, online advertising had in fact seen an increase in these troubled economic times.

    @ Dr. Irfan,

For me the Dawn’s Young world moving to on-line version, looks more of a cost cutting thing rather than targeting / attracting the young lot to web version. Another aspect that has probably been discounted is that fact that it not only catered to the teens of our society but to children younger than them.

As for my elder son who has lesser know-how on how to access the on-line version is deprived of the articles and stuff posted in it.

And finally the current edition of online young world is more of snapshots of the real news paper.

Certainly all this mind churning doesnt take away the importance of on-line presence of a corporate, entrepreneur or a news edition.

My two cents on the subject.

@Jehan & Rabia: Webcasts are doing great. Keep it up.
