I caught up with him to talk about the Saif Center for Innovation that he has set up in Lahore, what kind of people and companies he is looking to attract to the center and his overall views regarding startups in Pakistan.

Umar has great faith in the talent of the youth of this country and he has been working with some of the brightest young people on the initiatives he has co-founded and mentored.

Umar is one of the key speakers at the TieCon event in Karachi on November 4. He will be talking about Incubating Ideas and Pitching to VCs – something that he himself has personally done successfully.
